For 2016, The BayPay Forum will present the latest trends from Silicon Valley and the rest of the US and have someone to present the latest trends in Europe. These presentations will be followed by a panel discussion on Innovations we see as having a global impact on how commerce will be conducted in the future. For this interactive session, we are selecting a group of senior executives from different parts of the payment ecosystem to debate with the audience on the benefits of these latest trends. This session will be Live Streamed so executives from all our chapters in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Toronto, Paris, Luxembourg and of course our 3 Bay Area Chapters (San Francisco, Silicon Valley, East Bay) will be able to attend remotely on their mobile devices.

PANELIST Pascal Burg Director at Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) Pascal is a Director with responsibility for the Paris office. He has been with Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) since 1999 and has worked in the London, Sydney and San Francisco offices. Pascal has over 12 years of consulting experience in business strategy for financial services clients in multiple European, Asian and North American countries, and over four years of line management experience within the UK financial services industry. His core competencies include business case development, new product development, strategic planning, market entry strategy, benchmarking. Pascal has managed a large number of strategic planning, marketing strategy and implementation projects for clients including issuers, acquirers, card associations and large merchants such as airlines. He received his MBA from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and his Business Degree from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lyon in France. Imran A Hajimusa VP Business & Technology at Verifone Imran is a global technology and business leader with 20+ years of experience working and living in Singapore, Germany and USA. He has a strong background in mobile, payment, security, authentication, connectivity, broadband, consumer and networking industry. In his various leadership roles at Siemens, Infineon, Lantiq, and NXP as VP, GM and President he is known for driving new markets and providing simple solutions for daily life problems by reducing the friction in use of the technology. In his current role as VP of Business & Technology at Verifone, he is leading innovative solutions for payments and security. He is also a faculty member (adjunct) at Santa Clara University (SCU) and University of Santa Cruz (UCSC) focusing on mobile payments, e-commerce security and cryptocurrency. He holds an M.S. in computer engineering from University of Southern California (USC) and has completed Global Management Development from Babson College. Alexandre Rochegude FinTech Evangelist & Partner at KPMG In charge of Innovation, Alexandre founded and lead a brand new platform dedicated to innovation. Based in Luxembourg and in partnership with leading international financial institutions and large corporates, The Khube (KPMG Hub for Entrepreneurs) supports innovative companies to deploy their solution in Europe and abroad, and is part of the KPMG Global « Innovative Start-up » Initiative. Alexandre is also a member of the KPMG Global FinTech Group where he is in charge of the « Next Generation Payment » strategic area. Thaer Sabri CEO at Electronic Money Association Thaer has more than 15 years’ experience in the electronic money industry, in a regulatory capacity as well as in product management and business development. Thaer began his payments career at the prepaid card scheme Mondex International and then at the internet startup beenz.com before founding Flawless Money in 2001. He is chief executive of the Electronic Money Association, and leads industry regulatory interface with governments and public institutions. Thaer attended Sheffield University, Imperial College (University of London) and Birkbeck College (University of London) and is a solicitor in England and Wales. He now practises as a consultant. Simon Burrows Director at PwC His background combines M&A transactions in the payments world, including acquirers, processors, pre-paid issuers and ACH operators, with transformation consulting to the banks and other industry players. His work has included advising a major bank on its FinTech payments partnering strategy, investigating a major payments outage for a global bank, mentoring various payments and FinTech startup companies, and working on aspects of transforming the UK inter-bank payments landscape including the Schemes and Payments Strategy Forum. He has worked with several banks, e-money issuers and Authorised Payment Institutions on obtaining their regulatory authorisations, and has been part of a European PwC team looking at the implications of PSD2. He manages PwC's relationships with the UK payments industry and is a member of the judging panel for the annual FStech Payments Awards. Daniel Chatelain Managing Director at The BayPay Forum Daniel Chatelain is a payment industry executive focused on innovation in commerce and sitting on the board of directors or advisors of emerging companies. He started The BayPay Forum to help foster innovation in payment and commerce. The organization gathers today over 8,000 executives from over 2,800 different companies and organizes events for senior executives to understand new trends and network with peers. Prior to that, Daniel was CEO, President & COO of companies he started as an entrepreneur or within the Lagardere (Elle, Woman’s Day, Car & Driver, Hachette, Canal Satellite) and EADS group (Airbus, Ariane, Eurocopter) and Vice President of a VC backed companies giving him a wide experience of growing companies domestically and internationally in the banking, telecom and interactive media industries as an entrepreneur, corporate or VC backed senior executive.
