This is how locals pay for their bills, groceries, restaurant meals, retail and online purchases. In fact, in many countries in EMEA, APAC and LATAM bank transfers, local cards, e-wallets, and cash payment methods are responsible for the bulk of transactions, so they are not alternatives at all.
