Tommy Marshall, Fintech Lead - North America at Accenture

Tommy's Bio:

Tommy Marshall has spent his 20+ year management consulting career focused on digital financial services and Fintech. His role at Accenture is to bring Accenture’s depth in banking, capital markets, insurance, finance & regulation together with Accenture’s Fintech accelerators, Liquid Studios, and Innovation Labs to craft meaningful capabilities for financial services institutions. Tommy is a member of the blockchain leadership team at Accenture. Over the past three years he has mentored 4 blockchain start-ups and led teams to complete proof-of-concepts in payments and capital markets. Tommy is a graduate of Davidson College and holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He has called Atlanta home for the past eight years.

Daniel Chatelain is a serial entrepreneur focused on innovation in payments, commerce and Fintech. He sits on the board of directors or advisors of emerging companies and is a mentor at 500 Startups. He started The BayPay Forum to help foster innovation in payment and commerce.

Marchelle honed her sales and accounting skills at a start-up tech company after managing high-volume flagship stores for Gap and Contempo Casuals. Currently, she serves as an advisor for a digital company and for Shiners Hospital Los Angeles and is a proud Rotarian and member of Vistage.

 

ShadowBid

ShadowBid takes the concept of a limit-order from equities trading markets and applies it to any online retail market. We offer our users the ability to set a bid price for any online retail product, and when the price of the product drops, we automatically execute the purchase for the user on the retail website (launching with a focus on Amazon). In time, our system will allow users to place their bids across multiple retailers. We offer our users price history charts up to one year, as well as indicate the likelihood of execution based on the bid price and duration.

Through this process, ShadowBid will collect a large amount of data on exactly how customers are valuing specific products. And that, in part, is how ShadowBid will be able to deliver tremendous value to retailers as well. This data will help retailers to understand more about consumer demand because the consumer is actually putting their money on the line and saying "at this price, I will buy", helping them better manage pricing and inventory.

Kevin's Bio:

Kevin, along with several business school classmates, built ShadowBid based on their experience in financial services and the equity markets. Prior to ShadowBid, Kevin spent the last 5 years in operations with several education startups. He started his career with GE Capital working in several different industries including lending, capital markets, and underwriting. He earned his MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and has a BA in finance from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
