Accenture Acquires Research and Consulting Firm Deja vu Security

Professional services company Accenture this week announced the acquisition of Deja vu Security, a provider of security research and consulting to premier technology firms.

Since 2011, the Seattle-based Deja vu Security has been providing information security research and consulting services and specializes in security design and testing of enterprise software platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

Focused on information security services, delivering strategic insight, proactive advice, tactical assessment, and outsourced development, Deja vu Security will become part of Accenture Security’s Cyber Defense offerings.

Accenture already offers security services such as strategy and risk management, cyber defense, digital identity, application security and managed security. With the new acquisition, it aims to further innovate next-generation cyber-security solutions, to help protect clients’ business from end to end.

“For technology companies, third-party suppliers and consumers alike, IoT security controls often remain an afterthought — which is why it’s critical that security is built in from the start for any new products, processes or services,” said Kelly Bissell, senior managing director of Accenture Security.

“Deja vu Security’s team of innovative specialists brings considerable technical cybersecurity skills, making them a strong strategic fit, and will help our clients reduce the risk of their connected solutions,” Bissell continued.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
