Security information and event management (SIEM) solutions provider Exabeam this week announced the acquisition of cloud application security company SkyFormation.
This is the first acquisition for the San Mateo, California-based SIEM firm, and follows a recently completed $75 million Series E funding round, as well as the launch of Exabeam SaaS Cloud in February 2019.
Founded in 2014, SkyFormation collects cloud logs from over 30 cloud services into any SIEM tool (including Exabeam Data Lake and Exabeam Advanced Analytics), to provide unified visibility of security related activities, flows and more.
Updates are automatically performed when there are API changes, meaning that the right data is collected even without coding skills or costly professional services engagements.
The solution can collect logs from Amazon Web Services, GitHub, Google, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, and other security, identity and access management, infrastructure, and business applications.
The recent funding and this acquisition, Exabeam notes, allow it to establish an office in Israel, as well as to help more customers move their businesses, and their security, to the cloud. Earlier this year, Exabeam opened offices in Atlanta, London and Singapore.
