WHAT IS MCA?
Mobile Convention Amsterdam (MCA) is the platform for mobile marketing, services and m-Commerce in North-Europe. The second edition in 2011 was an outstanding success with 800 professionals who visited the Convention.
In 2012 professionals in the field of marketing, banking, ICT & Telecom will share their knowledge of e.g. mobile marketing & communications, social media, mobile payments, couponing, augmented reality and mobile advertising!
2012 : A mobile World
Our world has become mobile. 77% of the world population (5.3 billion) uses a mobile phone as their most important device for communication. The last three years over 300,000 mobile apps have been developed, every day YouTube plays back 200 million videos on mobile devices. M-payments are now worth US$240 billion. The predictions for coming years are booming. Businesses and brands can’t deny this channel. They have to create their mobile presence in this world.
The mobile world is global, so our scope has to be broader than the Western World. The growth in mobile subscribers is led by China and India. Asia – Japan particularly – continues to dominate global mobile ad spend and mobile payment is huge in Africa and Asia. Mobile Convention Amsterdam will be guiding you through this mobile world.
