Welcome to the University of NFC Territories
Jean-Michel GadratMore than two dozen territories are now involved in the creation and deployment of mobile services using NFC technology.
For local authorities, this technology represents a tremendous opportunity to meet the challenge of sustainable mobility, urban create services accessible everywhere, reliable and easy to use and make their country more attractive. With NFC it will be easier for example to switch from one mode of transport to another and tourists with this single tool can move, go to museums, make purchases in shops in the city while enjoying comments multimedia in their discovery of local heritage.
After the time is now one of the precursors of generalization. This is to support all local authorities in the appropriation of this technology as the Forum of mobile contactless services wanted to organize the first NFC Territory University, September 19, 2012 in Nice. This event is part of the part of the NFC World Congress will bring together 17, 18 and 19 September all global players in mobile contactless services.
For this first edition, the university NFC territories will be devoted to two topics essential to local officials : tourism development at the service of local trade and use of NFC to enhance the provision of public transport and encourage multimodality.
Organized a day, this event is open to all local authorities, whether or not engaged in the deployment of NFC services. It also caters to all players in the public and businesses who wish to understand and participate in the deployment of contactless services. It aims to provide the most successful experiences and to allow all participants to leave with operational contacts, experiences and repeatable methodology to deploy NFC services.
