The meeting will explore in depth how to take full advantage of the large data technology. "Big data" phenomenon seems to be no way traceable. But in fact, from some aspects of this emerging trend is not a new thing. We already know that the amount of data recently substantial increase exponentially, according to the study published by IDC in June 2011 on the global digital technology show that, in 2011, the new and the amount of information copied more than 1.9 million billion trillion bytes (1.8 trillion gigabytes), that is, in just five years time, an increase of almost nine times. However, the data is indeed unprecedented. Such as the type of data source rapid diversification of this trend, as we enter the field of semi-structured and unstructured (such as social media, interactive, rich media files and geospatial information) becomes particularly evident. Another new factor is the companies need to respond to the ever-accelerating rate of data generation (such as real-time sensor data from smart meters). These new characteristics of the "big data" caused unprecedented complexity for IT managers, especially when they gradually realized that now can not use a traditional database architecture, management, or analysis of these large data sets. Face high expectations from industry executives, CIOs and IT departments are seeking both infrastructure (mainly the use of high-performance computing, storage technology and massively parallel processing architecture) and information management strategy (especially in the analysis of the field) re assessment . |
