Now in its second year, Content Delivery & Digital Services Middle East 2012 brought together representatives from the different players in the Middle Easter and international content ecosystem including content owners, internet content companies, telecoms operators, CDNs and data centres to discuss future demand for content services across the region.

New and thought-provoking content foe 2012:

The event was opened by Ali Amiri, EVP - Carrier & Wholesale Services from ETISALAT. During his welcome speech, Mr. Amiri shared an overview of how Etisalat is supporting the development of the content ecosystem across the Middle East with new access technologies and carrier services to meet the demand being driven by new devices and digital content.

Day two opened with a look at the role of cloud services in optimising user experience for content services. Mile McWilliams, Head of Global Sales, IPT & CDN at DEUTSCHE TELEKOM ICSS and Samer Omar, MEA Business Development Manager, Cloud & Security Services at VERIZON/TERREMARK discussed the benefits of cloud services for service providers and end-users. The discussion also covered some of the major obstacles facing cloud services including and choosing the best business models for rolling out new services.
