The BayPay Forum provides many opportunities to learn and network with other payment professionals. After Loyalty, Couponing and Mobility in January @ Wilson Sonsini, Social Commerce in February at Intuit and Startup Funding in payment and commerce in March at Silicon Valley Bank and Mobile Payments in the San Francisco Bay Area at Orrick, we are now taking a look at Payments Innovations in the US and Europe but in Europe this time.

This event will be the opportunity to learn about the last innovations in payments from the US and European markets.

As usual, this session will be interactive to allow many questions from the audience. This event will be an all-day event starting with presentations in the morning and One-to-One meetings in the afternoon. It is our 3rd edition for this event and second with Paris Region. CashCloud

Cashcloud is intending to be the leading provider in eWallet solutions for community payments, cards (like credit cards and debit cards), couponing for deals and special localized offers via Smartphones!

A new mobile payment system that combines virtual online banking with physical prepaid card functions using NFC (contactless technologies) to open a new channel next to the E-banking and traditional banking services.

The approach is similar to the Skype model (Freemium). Basic features are free and thus generate lots of customers and volume. Additional features produce revenue and profits.

FLASHiZ

Incorporated in 2011, FLASHiZ is one of the first mobile payment solutions in Europe using both NFC and QR codes. It’s a universal payment solution meeting all payment needs in shops, on the Internet, between end consumers (transfer of cash) as well as payment of paper invoices. FLASHiZ can also be integrated into mobile commerce solutions. Being independent of banks and telco companies, FLASHiZ is a qualified “Etablissement de Monnaie Electronique (P.S.F.)” under the supervision of the Luxembourgish banking authority ”Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF)”.

To pay with FLASHiZ, swipe the smartphone over an NFC tag or flash a QR code as displayed by the merchant with the FLASHiZ app and validate the given amount. The solution can be joined quickly by creating a FLASHiZ account and linking to a payment card. FLASHiZ is available for iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

Within a very few months, FLASHiZ has been adopted by some 500 merchants in Luxembourg including Vinci Parkings, Fischer – the biggest national bakery network, P&T – the Luxembourg postal offices, the multiplex cinema Utopolis, numerous restaurants, several taxi companies, various local e-commerce sites (Les Bons Filons, Group Lunch...), as well as the invoicing of the national power supplier Sudstroum. FLASHiZ has also been choosen by NGOs such as the Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders to raise funds in their latests campaigns.

In April 2013, FLASHiZ also launched a full digital loyalty solution offering merchants an automated redemption program to their customers who pay with a smartphone.

FLASHiZ will be launched in France, Spain and Belgium in 2013.
