Capacity Conferences would like to thank all of the 315 attendees, 9 sponsors and 19 exhibitors at Capacity Eurasia 2012 for making it such a huge success.  With a 42% growth in attendees since 2011, Capacity Eurasia has become the must-attend carrier event for the Eurasian region.

The conference was opened by Dr. Tayfun Acarer, Chairman of the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & TELECOMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY OF TURKEY. Dr. Acarer gave a presentation outlining how plans to develop the Turkish telecoms market have progressed. He commented that “Since 2002, fundamental changes in the ICT sector have begun. While e-commerce and social networking have had a strong positive impact, cyber crime and social rights issues have also begun to emerge. Despite these problems, the ICT market in Turkey has increased to $40 billion.”

During the keynote panel, C-level executives from DEUTSCHE TELEKOM ICSS, GBI, TURK TELEKOM, TURKCELL SUPERONLINE and VERIZON GLOBAL WHOLESALE discussed strategies and services to increase revenues and remain competitive. Other key topics discussed at the conference were growth and market opportunities in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine, regional connectivity and partnerships in Eurasia, alongside an in-depth look into the Eurasian data centre market and the new demand for data infrastructure.
