Overview Following on from the success of our Procurement Conference in September 2012, GovKnow are proud to present our 2nd Annual Procurement Conference 2013. This conference will bring together over 250 key stakeholders working within and alongside the public sector to procure goods and services. With the public sector currently spending £242bn per annum on goods and services, it is vitally important that this money is spent in the most efficient way to ensure value for money for the taxpayer, whilst also positively impacting supply chains to stimulate growth across country. This conference will build upon the success of our last conference, and will feature some excellent presentations from some of the most key stakeholders in public sector procurement. We will explore the work of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office, the Government Procurement Service and the wider public sector in reforming procurement to ensure value for money is achieved at all levels of procurement through better contract management and the commercialisation of the procurement process. We look forward to some key contributions from experts and stakeholders from across the public sector on this cross cutting issue. Topics to be discussed include:
This conference will provide attendees with the option to put questions directly to the speakers in our main plenary session, attend expert breakout sessions during the course of the day and share ideas with peers and service providers during our networking breaks. With all this in mind, this conference is a must attend for all those working within and alongside public sector procurement |
