In the dawn of the 1990s, in separate parts of the world, three very distinct groups were starting to take notice of important trends happening in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and work process improvement.

They spoke about their missions. They gathered supporters and forged alliances. And soon, three influential associations were born: International Accounts Payable Professionals. The Association for Work Process Improvement. National Association of Purchasing & Payables. They later formed the International Accounts Receivable Professionals.

These groups planted the seeds for what eventually would be come one powerful organization serving the needs of financial operations professionals.

In 2015, The Institute of Financial Operations celebrates 25 years of history. Join us May 11-14 for a Silver Celebration at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
