International Conference on Cyber Engagement 2016

Please save the date for Georgetown University’s sixth annual International Conference on Cyber Engagement on Monday, April 26, 2016 in Washington, DC.  This gathering promotes dialogue among policymakers, academics, and key industry stakeholders from across the globe, and explores the worldwide community’s increasing interconnectivity in this domain. 

Drawing on the experience of government practitioners, industry representatives and academic scholars, this event brings a multidisciplinary and international approach to the challenges in cyberspace from technical, corporate, legal, and policy perspectives in both the United States domestic and international realms – with several topics targeting private sector interests.  The last international cyber engagement conference that took place on April 27, 2015 included a mixture of keynote speakers, expert panels and moderated discussions, followed by audience participation, on: (1) Legislative Cybersecurity Initiatives, (2) National Cyber Strategies, (3) The Administration’s Cybersecurity Priorities, (4 ) Norms for International Peace & Security in Cyberspace, (5) The Intelligence Community Perspective, (6) Nation-State and Criminal Cyber Threats, (7) The Future Threat Landscape in Cyberspace, and (8) Where Science and Technology are Taking Us in Cybersecurity.  There were also lunch panel discussions on Cybercrime, Privacy, Internet Governance, Protecting Critical Infrastructure.
