2016 is a special year.  It will be the first time that Townsville hosts PSANZ Annual Congress and we will be celebrating 20 successful years of PSANZ ! 

The Local Organising Committee has worked hard to have an innovative and interactive program over the three days to cover the amazing diversity in research by all perinatal health practitioners. 

A stellar line up of invited speakers, both overseas and local, will present their cutting edge research addressing important aspects of perinatal health.  With Queensland having one of the highest number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, there is a a symposium led by indigenous professionals. 

The format of PSANZ 2016 will be unique.  With 2016 being the 20th anniversary of PSANZ, and our theme of 'Goin' Troppo', we have some surprises in store.  Our sub theme 'Progress through partnership' encompasses home, community and hospitals across antenatal, perinatal and neonatal areas and a partnership between professionals and parents and clinical scientists and health policy makers with the multi disciplines.  

There will be welcoming and opening sessions, parallel breakfast sessions, symposia, oral and poster presentations, workshops and meet the expert sessions. We will continue the successful new research awards, sessions featuring the work of our Special Interest Groups and subcommittees and guidelines launches. The congress dinner will be held at the unique, award-wining Townsville Cruise Terminal.
