The European Finance and Banking Conference is sponsored by the University of Bologna, University of Strathclyde, Temple University and Journal of Economics & Business. Papers covering all areas of finance, including corporate governance and regulatory compliance, will be presented. Research in various aspects of bank behavior and banking regulation will also be featured. It is expected that central bank policy-makers and advisors will present a significant number of conference papers.Many of the papers will have a European focus and will examine either intra-European behavior or comparative behavior between Europe and non-European regions. 

The Conference is delighted to have Kose John and Anthony Saunders as keynote speakers. The high quality research conducted by Professors John and Saunders has advanced understanding within numerous areas of corporate finance and banking. Their remarks will certainly offer additional insight for academics, policy-makers and practitioners.
