The Border Security Expo Demo Day 2017 is designed for manufacturers, distributors, retailers and others to demonstrate and network with end-users at an outdoor range. Space is available to showcase technology as well as access to a live fire range for demonstrations. Demo Day is a great time to gather information from the end users to assist in product development, testing and general feedback. And for the law enforcement personnel in the field every day, it’s a great opportunity to test-drive these products and make your opinion count.

Also taking place at Demo Day is the second Annual Border Patrol Foundation Top Shooter Competition. Set up in the IDPA format, the competition will consist of real-life scenarios border agents and officers face in the field. This competition will test the skills of the most experienced law enforcement personnel and bragging rights are at stake for you sector, station, unit or department!. SMi Group are proud to announce the return of the highly successful Border Security conference, now in its 9th year. The value of this event is recognized by the Italian Navy who will be sending a delegation to attend and provide a senior speaker to present on the current operations in relation to the migrant crisis.

The event will also focus on other aspects of border security, such as the smuggling of drugs and illegal goods at the border as well as counter-terrorism. Sessions will focus on how this can be reduced, whether it be modern technologies, greater collaboration or a larger security presence at the border.
