The NFC project at Arizona State University (ASU) is becoming quiet the celebrity. No longer are a student’s smart phones just the key to their social lives. It’s also the key to their dorm rooms, according to CBS 5 report.

With only a small number of students and faculty members currently using the system, ASU director of business applications Laura Ploughe stated the system may not only be used for opening doors in the future.
