New York, NY — November 14, 2013 — MyCheck, the leading checkout app for restaurants and other businesses across 3 major markets worldwide, announced today that the Aroma Espresso Bar chain is now accepting MyCheck to allow patrons of the New York City and New Jersey locations to pay and manage their loyalty benefits from their smartphone.
Users check into any participating location and obtain a 4-digit code that the cashier enters into the restaurant’s Point of Sale system, seamlessly accepting payment and generating an email receipt. Upon initial check-in, users are invited to join the company’s loyalty program and can redeem a free coffee as an incentive for doing so. The loyalty program provides another free coffee after 12 coffees are purchased, and the app automatically handles the “punch,” eliminating the need for a separate card for the user to carry and a separate system for the merchant to deal with.
Gil Kiryati, CEO of Aroma US, said, “We are always looking for new ways to make our guests’ experience more comfortable and enjoyable. MyCheck provides two main benefits for us – a faster experience at checkout because the payment is automatically captured and a more assured way of managing our loyalty program. We are excited to offer special promotions to our most loyal customers and track redemptions accordingly.”
Tal Nathanel, MyCheck US CEO, said, “The MyCheck app works in a wide array of environments – Michelin-rated restaurants, coffee shops like Aroma, gastropubs, etc. This gives our users many options to choose from, which drives usage and adoption. In Aroma, we are pleased to provide not just payment, but a built-in loyalty element as well, so that users don’t have to carry around punch cards. For the chain, this means that they know the free coffee is really being given to a new customer, or to a customer that has consumed 12 coffees, minimizing the fraud that is always a concern of loyalty program operators.”
