ATLANTA, GA – October, 9, 2013 – InComm, a leading prepaid product and transaction services company, today announced its expansion of swipe-reload technology. Vanilla Reload is an innovative platform that simplifies the reload process for consumers, participating general purpose reloadable (GPR) program managers, and retailers.
Vanilla Reload continues to deliver on InComm’s vision for expanding swipe reload locations, allowing millions of GPR cardholders to add funds to their accounts with a simple swipe of their card, and delivering instant access to the funds. Vanilla Reload’s swipe capability streamlines the customer experience at the register, simplifies the sales process for employees and increases retail foot traffic. The solution also mitigates inventory management and space allocation challenges, as customers no longer need to buy a PIN package.
Vanilla Reload boasts an industry-leading reload network of more than 60,000 national partner locations, with half of those locations offering swipe reload. Swipe-enabled retailers drive more than 75 percent of Vanilla Reload’s volume—clear evidence that customers prefer the swipe reload experience. Swipe reload retailers generate more than twice as many loads per location than those who offer PIN packages.
In an effort to continue pushing the innovation envelope, InComm has expanded the technology at thousands of retail locations to enhance the Vanilla Reload solution with BIN based routing. This enables pricing flexibility, provides an enriched consumer experience, and creates promotional opportunities at the retail point of sale.
“InComm is playing a significant role in innovation of the prepaid market, developing and advocating for technologies that offer convenience for customers and benefits for retail and GPR partners,” said Jeff Lewis, Vice President and General Manager, Financial Services, InComm. “Vanilla Reload’s swipe technology streamlines the reload process and will continue to lead the industry as more and more of our strategic innovations are deployed.”
