Claudio Fischer VAT policy Senior Manager at EY

Claudio Fischer is a VAT policy senior manager at EY. He has a broad experience with national and European Value Added Tax and other indirect taxes, advising clients (among which the European Commission) on the effective and strategic engagement of tax policy to shape policy development and effect change. Claudio was responsible for the development of the Swiss VAT regime, namely the profound remodeling and modernization of the VAT act introduced in 2010. Claudio has written a number of articles on legal and economic issues of VAT and regularly participates as speaker in conferences and seminars. As former Vice-Chair of the OECD Working Party on Consumption Taxes and now member of the BIAC working group, he is intensely engaged with the OECD’s work in this field, namely the drafting of the international VAT/GST guidelines.
