Key players involved in secure transactions (banks, card schemes, retailers, vendors, testing labs and certification bodies…) have formed an open alliance to promote and further develop Natural Security Alliance standard.
The Natural Security standard defines a strong and convenient authentication method based on a unique combination of wireless technologies, personal device and biometrics, without compromising security and privacy. This standard is universal and offers the same level of security and same user experience for all types of transactions (e.g. proximity and remote payment) no matter where they take place (e.g. home, store, branch).

The Natural Security Alliance manages, maintains and enhances this standard in order to continuously meet business requirements, certifies devices and services and educates the market through the following actions:
• To gather members from all areas of the payments ecosystem (i.e. banks, merchants, manufacturers, system integrators)
• To evangelize & educate the wider payments and consumer communities on the standard and other areas relating to authentication • To promote and encourage the development of products using the standard
• To license specifications to manufacturers to develop products
• To drive evolution of specifications to meet market requirements
• To build an interoperability strategy including tests and certification processes for the standard.
