Calling All Last Minute Shoppers
If you’re a last minute shopper (hey, we’ve all been there, no judging), we’re helping you avoid the packed parking lots by saving time and money this holiday season by shopping and buying digital gift cards online.
We’ve added more digital gift cards to our PayPal Digital Gifts store so you can quickly buy digital gift cards from over 130 brands and retailers online or from your mobile device browser. We’re making it easier for you to buy a little something for the holidays or treat someone else. We have great business relationships with companies like Blackhawk Network, CashStar, epay and InComm that help us offer more gift cards from top brands and retailers, making it even easier to check everyone off your holiday list this year – especially for that one person you may have forgotten (again, no judging).
Making Carrying Your Gift Cards Easier
Everyone loves gifts cards. In fact, NRF says that 62 percent of shoppers would most like to receive a gift card this year. Why? They’re the go-to for that last minute addition to your holiday list or the ever-so-picky cousin that no one really knows what to get. But, keeping track of them can be a job itself, between remembering where you put the actual card to how much you’ve spent.
Today, we’re removing some of that hassle. We’re making it easy to carry around and access your gift cards by letting you add and save gift cards directly to your PayPal app. So, now when you see that must-have pair of boots or the season’s hottest gadget you don’t have to keep walking by the store because you forgot your gift card at home. Just download the PayPal app, and you can add a gift card to your PayPal Wallet from 30 brands and retailers.
With gift cards in the PayPal app, you can do things like automatically check your gift card balance or manually track your balance. And when you’re shopping in-store, just show your gift card stored in your PayPal app to the sales person and they can enter in the code so you can redeem it right there. As a bonus, with select digital gift cards from the PayPal Digital Gifts store, you can add them straight to your PayPal Wallet on our mobile app.
Search for Last Minute Savings on Our Shop Tab
Who doesn’t want to save money this holiday season (especially if you have to pay last minute shipping fees)? If you’re part of the nearly 45 percent of people that will do their shopping online this year, we recently added our Shop Tab to PayPal.com. The Shop Tab lets you search over 800 offers from your favorite online stores. And, for easy access later, you can save the offers to your PayPal.com account with the click of a button.
