Sasha's Bio:
Sasha Orloff, CEO and cofounder of LendUp, has had a longtime passion for harnessing technology’s potential to change the world and make lives better. Inspired by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus’ book, “Banker to the Poor,” he moved to Honduras and lent his talents to the worldrenowned Grameen Foundation and its technology team, where he helped design open source software allowing banks around the world to adopt microfinance platforms. Before being accepted to YCombinator and launching LendUp (a venturebacked startup building the next generation of safe credit products for the financially underserved) in 2012, Sasha also worked for startups including Ingenio (acquired by AT&T) and Check (acquired by Intuit), and as a Senior Vice President on Citigroup's Venture Capital team. He has a B.S. in applied math and economics from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Georgetown University..
