Marc is currently the Chief Emerging Payments Officer (CEPO) at the Royal Canadian Mint. Prior to this recent appointment, for the past six years, Marc was the CFO at the Mint. For the last few years, Marc has been leading a research and development team looking into the “evolution of currency”. MintChip is a prototype digital cash product that is omni-channel which will be piloted by the Mint in 2014. Marc is a charted accountant and was a KPMG partner for some 20 years prior to joining the Mint.

Patrick Gauthier is the Head of PayPal’s Emerging Services group in the Enterprise Solution division. He manages principally the PayPal Prepaid and PayPal Media Network businesses. The Enterprise Solutions division is driving PayPal’s omni-channel strategy and solutions for large retailers and partner networks. Patrick is a payments and commerce innovation specialist, with 20 years of experience managing products, sales, innovation and corporate venture with startups, Visa Inc. and Schlumberger Electronic Transactions. Patrick has also held positions on the board of directors of a number of e-commerce and m-commerce startups. He is currently an advisor to Tyfone and Sequent Software, two companies pioneering NFC solutions and a Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France, one of the oldest public/private economic partnerships in the world. Patrick holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Telecom Sud-Paris in France.

Charlie brings more than 30 years of experience in the information security industry to his role as chief executive officer of SecureKey. He previously served as chief operations officer and general manager for INSIDE Secure’s NFC and payments businesses, where he defined business strategy, drove product strategy and development, and led the launch of new contactless and NFC chip products. Prior to INSIDE, Charlie founded Caradas, which developed digital identity and authentication management software and was acquired by Diversinet. He also served as chief operations officer for Diversinet; co-founded the CyberTrust business at GTE; and worked in GTE Government Systems, focusing on development of large-scale secure communication systems for defense customers. Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
