Chip maker Broadcom has introduced Wiced Sense, a developer kit designed “to enable developers to rapidly prototype ideas and concepts for IoT devices and applications.”

The kit includes a Broadcom BCM20737 Bluetooth Smart system-in-package (SiP) module, five low power sensors (gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, pressure and humidity/temperature), secure over-the-air download and encryption capabilities plus support for iOS and Android, iBeacon technology and NFC.
