Gemalto today announced a contract, awarded last year, to supply a TSM platform to Hong Kong ATM and interbank group Jetco.

As NFC Times reported earlier, Jetco chose Gemalto as part of a tender request that said the banking group was targeting the rollout of mobile payments on embedded chips in NFC phones and those in an NFC-enabled iPhone attachment. 

Jetco, which counts more than 30 banks as members in Hong Kong and Macau, will own and operate the service provider-TSM platform it is licensing from Gemalto. The association is paying Gemalto licensing fees and expenses for installation and maintenance. Jetco also has bought its own third-party database hardware software for the platform.
