Google has relaunched and repositioned its tap-and-pay Google Wallet app as a peer-to-peer payment solution ahead of the expected rollout of Android Pay later this month.
“For now, two versions of Google Wallet exist in the Google Play store,” The Verge reports.
The new app is labelled Google Wallet (New), while the app description page for the old version says “This app will be updated to Android Pay in the next few days. To send or receive money or manage your Wallet Balance, download the new Google Wallet.”
The relaunched Google Wallet app was unveiled in May.
