Phone manufacturer HTC has announced the successor to its flagship HTC One smartphone, the NFC-enabled HTC One Max which houses a 5.9-inch 1080p display and fingerprint scanner.
Located on the rear of the device, the fingerprint scanner "allows users to lock or unlock the screen and quickly launch up to three favourite applications by assigning an individual finger to each," says HTC.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM, the HTC One Max includes either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
As well as NFC, the HTC One Max includes Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity and will be available worldwide this month. Pricing is yet to be announced.
