Activations of the Isis Mobile Wallet were up substantially in the past month, meaning more users are registering their email addresses and setting up wallet PINs after either downloading the wallet app or using a preloaded app, though Isis remains coy about how often users are actually tapping to pay six months after the wallet’s national launch.
Isis has said it averaged 20,000 activations per day in the past 30 days, meaning subscribers of joint venture partners Verizon Wireless, AT&T and T-Mobile launched the wallet app and made it live on the Isis wallet back-end for a total of 600,000 activations during the month–about double the previous month.
To activate Isis, users must first download and install the application if it’s not already preloaded, then enter an email address and password, choose a PIN for the wallet. They might also watch an animated tutorial and review the wallet’s terms of service and privacy policies.
