NFC Times Take:

Don’t expect any commercial NFC launches in New Zealand until 2013. But the trial is one of the first to be announced using the NFC version of the popular Galaxy S II, though South Korean telco KT has sold the phone for its commercial NFC service since last spring. Other South Korean telcos, including SK Telecom, have followed. The NFC version of the phone supports a single-wire protocol connection between the NFC chip and SIM. It only became available in the West this fall.

* Trusted Service Manager: Defined loosely to include companies or other organizations securely distributing, provisioning and managing applications, generally over the air, on secure elements in NFC mobile phones; or licensing their platforms for this purpose.
N/A: Not available or not applicable.
