U.S.-based Identive Group, a supplier of NFC tags and ID equipment, reported continued business divestitures and hinted at the possibility of more job cuts, in reporting its first quarter earnings.
Restructuring continues at Identive, but CEO Jason Hart said during a conference call this week that what he termed the company’s “simplification project,” is entering its final stages. “But I do expect that the full integration will take the remainder of 2014,” Hart added.
Late in 2013, Identive restructured its group into three segments: security and access control for facilities, which will involve the company’s RFID and smart card readers as well as controllers and software; information, which will involve Identive’s smart card readers and online credential management services; and consumer goods, which will primarily involve the company’s RFID and NFC tag business.
