Telecom Italia has launched a new initiative, in collaboration with Unicoop Tirreno, allowing employees to order grocery deliveries at work using NFC smart posters placed around their offices.

Staff need to register online with the supermarket chain before tapping their phone to items shown on the posters to place an order through a downloadable smartphone app.

Orders are then processed by the supermarket and delivered to the Telecom Italia offices in Rome. Those without NFC-enabled phones can place orders directly through the 'virtual supermarket' website.
