U.S.-based retailer Toys “R” Us, one of the few large national merchants to fully support the Isis Wallet so far, has released a figure on Isis transactions for the three months following Isis’ nationwide launch in November.
It’s one of the first releases of transaction figures by any participant in Isis since the nationwide launch, though Toys “R” Us has not disclosed many details.
The large toy store chain, which has nearly 900 locations in the U.S.–all of which accept Isis–offered a generous one-time discount during the three-month period of $15 off the purchase of $30 or more for customers tapping to pay with the Isis Wallet. This offer helped increase the number of transactions, as did the fact some customers used the discount more than once, though technically it was intended for only one-time use, said Gregory Todd, senior analyst covering card programs for Toys “R” Us.
