USA Technologies Inc. has entered a new five-year agreement with Pepsi Cola of the Hudson Valley to upgrade cashless payment devices on 1,000 existing vending machines and install cashless payment devices on another 300 machines, in a company release.

The independent Pepsi Cola franchise serves Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties in New York. The 1,000 machines use USA Technologies ePort Connect Service.

The company also provides vending machines selling snacks, hot and cold beverages, frozen foods and candy, according to the release.

"Our expanded agreement with USAT not only brings us closer to offering cashless payment options on all our machines through the industry’s best-in-class payment platform, but delivers exceptional services to our customers while reducing operational costs on the back end," Topher Black, director of full-service vending for Pepsi Cola of the Hudson Valley, said in the announcement.
