YEBHI: Has 30 NFC smart poster based 'virtual stores' in coffee shops

Indian online fashion and lifestyle shopping portal Yebhi.com has launched thirty virtual stores inside cafés across Delhi and Bangalore, using both NFC tags and QR codes.

Smart posters showing the online portal's merchandise have been placed on the walls of Café Coffee Day stores and advertise products from fashion accessories to mobile phones that are available to buy from the company's website.

Nikhil Rungta, chief business officer at Yebhi.com, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for Yebhi.com to directly communicate with its customers. With the virtual store, we are taking online shopping to the next level by touching base with our customers and allowing them to shop from anywhere, anytime.

"We settled on outlets near corporates and youth hangouts as customers who come here have time on their hands and money to shop."

NFC tags and QR codes are displayed on the posters for customers to tap or scan. When doing so they are redirected to Yebhi.com, where they can see more information about their chosen product and make a purchase.

Customers who make a purchase through the virtual store receive an instant discount of 200 rupees.

Manmohan Agarwal, founder and CEO of Yebhi.com, said: "We are always looking to make the shopping experience easier and more convenient for our customers and the introduction of the virtual store is a great achievement."
