Shanghai, China-based oTMS, a transport management platform, said it completed a round of series C1 strategic financing from China Merchants Venture Capital Management Co., in a company release.
The company did not disclose the funding amount.
The platform, founded in 2013, was designed to connect manufacturers, carriers, drivers and consignees across a shared cloud-based platform to optimize the supply chain through carrier procurement, management, payment and performance analysis, according to the release.
The company said that more than 3,000 trucking companies, 200,000 drivers and hundreds of shippers have installed oTMS apps, in the release.
"This investment as well as growing demand for our solutions validates our approach to use digitalization to drive meaningful and sustainable services and cost improvements," Mirek Dabrowski, co-founder and CEO of oTMS said in the announcement. "Shippers realize that the current status quo of reliance on exclusive, fixed carriers with a lack of cost and service transparency cannot be sustained."
