CHICAGO, IL: Kleiner, who began his leadership role at American Modern in 2016, to hold plenary keynote session on “The Strategic Value of Claims for an Insurance Company”.
From artificial intelligence to drones and mobile communications methods, advances in technology are presenting insurance carriers with new possibilities for operational efficiency, the provision of seamless customer experiences and delivery of highly personalized and relevant products.
In this race to innovate, a key battle-ground has emerged in the claims process, where carriers and policy-holders typically experience the greatest amount of interaction. The claims process has a significant impact on customers’ perception of their insurance provider and as such, has become the subject of extensive transformation across the industry.
Delivering a key-note plenary address on “The Strategic Value of Claims for an Insurance Company”, American Modern Insurance Group President and CEO Andreas Kleiner will join Insurance Nexus’ Third Annual Connected Claims USA Summit, taking place June 5-6, 2019, at the Marriott Marquis Chicago Hotel, Chicago.
“A claim is the most important ‘moment of truth’ for any policyholder when interacting with their insurance company,” says Kleiner. “This experience may determine whether you create a customer for life or a disgruntled customer who dislikes your brand. Getting the claims process right in a world where our customers expect Amazon-like service can be challenging; it’s critical for companies to understand and work toward ways that will meet customer expectations.”
Commencing his position as President and CEO in May 2016, Kleiner’s role comprises developing a long-term vision and strategy for the continuing success of the American Modern Insurance Group, which is part of Munich Re (Group). Kleiner has experience working across all major fields of insurance and reinsurance. He has spent more than 25 years with Munich Re in a variety of senior management positions, including member of the Board of Management of ERGO International (2007-2016), a Munich Re subsidiary, and CEO of Munich Re Africa (2003-2007). Kleiner holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany), and an Executive MBA in Financial Services and Insurance from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). He holds an Associateship from the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in the UK.
“We currently see a revolution taking place in claims management driven by new technologies and data analytics,” Kleiner states. “When done right, insurance companies can build true competitive advantage by significantly enhancing their claims process efficiencies and customer experience.”
Through a carefully curated and research-driven agenda, the Connected Claims USA Summit (June 5-6, Marriott Marquis Chicago Hotel, Chicago) will provide a roadmap for carriers to integrate these technologies into their claims processes to reduce costs through efficiency (by identifying opportunities for automation in the claims cycle), deliver world-class customer service and graduate towards the future of claims – claims reduction and risk prevention. Over 700 senior claims, innovation and technology executives will hear from expert speakers on how to reduce costs through efficient processing of claims, incorporate dynamic customer communication to enhance the customer experience, develop strategies to implement new initiatives and more.
