Billie, the leading provider of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payment solutions for business customers and Shopware, the leading global open-source ecommerce platform provider, today announce their joint effort to bring B2B Buy Now, Pay Later to merchants and their business customers in Europe.
By including Billie’s B2B BNPL solution as a plugin into the Shopware store, Shopware enables 45,000 merchants in Europe to offer their business customers the most popular payment method in B2B: Pay by invoice. The technical integration of Billie is simple and can be handled by Shopware merchants in just a few steps.
Once activated, business customers using Billie can purchase goods without having to pay for them for up to 120 days. At the same time, Shopware merchants selling the items get paid upon shipment of goods, making Billie’s payment method a useful addition to the cash flow management of both merchants and business buyers. Billie performs real-time credit approval of buyers at the checkout, with shopping cart limits of up to €100,000 as well as default and fraud risk protection for merchants. This way, B2B sellers can offer flexible payment terms to their customers while reducing credit risk and administrative burden of commercial credits collection to zero. Via their Billie plugin, merchants can also manage the full post-purchase cycle, from capturing shipments to handling refunds.
“An easy, efficient, and safe payment method is a crucial factor for online businesses. That also and especially counts for B2B customers. We are extremely happy to offer B2B Buy Now, Pay Later by Billie to our customers and therefore strengthen our B2B portfolio,” says Shopware Co-CEO Stefan Hamann.
“After integrating Billie with industry giants like Klarna and Mollie, Shopware is another key milestone in our partnership strategy,” says Christian Grobe, Co-founder and Co-CEO at Billie. “Shopware has an immense market coverage in Europe and is therefore an integral partner in our effort to make B2B Buy Now, Pay Later available to all merchants and their business customers across the continent.”
