Cryptocurrency exchange and web3 company Bitget has launched the Bitget Card, a Visa Platinum card developed to augment financial experiences and drive crypto adoption. In partnership with Reap, Bitget Card requires its users to maintain sufficient balance in their Bitget funding account in USDT (Tether), with future plans to support other mainstream stablecoins or cryptocurrencies.

In order to authorise payments in USD, the card incurs no annual or application fees. Starting from 8 January 2024, Bitget Card will initially be available for internal staff and will gradually become available to all qualifying users in the first half of 2024.After completing a standardised KYC process, successful applicants will instantly receive a virtual card that is compatible with wallets such as Google Pay and Apple Pay. Physical cards will also be shipped out and expected to arrive at the destination within a few weeks.

A globally accepted solution for high-value transactions Bitget Card is denominated in USD and is accepted all countries and regions where Visa is accepted with minimal FX fees to support local spending. It offers a monthly spending limit and caters to high-value transactions. VIP customers will receive a metal physical card.

Bitget Card supports both online and offline transactions and seamlessly integrates with various mobile payment platforms, including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Users can also withdraw cash from any ATM affiliated with the Visa network, subject to withdrawal limits and restrictions. Additional benefits, like BGB rebates for card transactions and exclusive cardholder privileges, will be introduced soon.
