Vote for CoinDesk's Most Influential People in Blockchain 2016

award, metal

We may still be waiting for the 'blockchain revolution', but the world saw no shortage of new revolutionaries join the effort in 2016.

From blockchain consortium R3CEV (which ballooned to more than 70 members) to the open-source Hyperledger project (which has nearly 100), most of the growth was on the institutional side, with some of the world's largest businesses announcing interest in the emerging tech.

But, as observed in our latest State of Blockchain, there was progress on both sides of the blockchain spectrum.

New open-source blockchain projects shot to the center of the spotlight, with ethereum and Zcash, grabbing attention for technical advances that brought new imagination (and a bit of confusion) to an increasingly diverse industry.

Doubtless, there were influential people in both camps (for reasons both good and bad), and CoinDesk's Editorial team has compiled a short list of those we believe are deserving of consideration in our survey below.

But we're also inviting our readers to nominate anyone they believe has left a permanent mark on the industry.

You can now cast your vote below now until 10th December. That's when we'll stop submissions, collect the most popular and publish our results.
