Donal brings over 25 years of banking and financial services experience. More recently, this has included CTO roles at fintech firm Credit Benchmark and payments organisation, Modulr. Donal also served at JPMorgan in various senior roles for 14 years - including running Emerging Markets Technology and Worldwide Security Services - and spent four years as CTO of BlueCrest Capital, a global multi-strategy hedge fund, managing $37bn.

As Icon continues to expand its global footprint to help more banks accelerate their payments transformation, Donal will draw on his experience to oversee the technical direction of IPF. Icon’s low-code, cloud-native, open-source framework is used by leading global banks to deliver more value and unlock new revenues.
