JTL-Software GmbH (JTL), a leading German e-commerce solution provider, and the Dutch financial services provider Mollie are entering into a strategic partnership. The long-term partnership is the result of collaboration on individual projects since August 2023.
It enables seamless integration of Mollie’s payment services into JTL’s e-commerce solutions and offers merchants enhanced payment options and an improved shopping experience for end customers. The decision to partner between Mollie and JTL was strengthened by the already large joint customer portfolio of over 1,600 satisfied customers of both companies.
According to the results of the Google Omnichannel Future Study (2023), 50 per cent of consumers want a simple and consistent shopping experience – regardless of whether they shop online or offline. A study by the Swiss Retail Association also found that the proportion of consumers who shop at omnichannel retailers has risen continuously since 2017: by 8 per cent in Germany and Austria and by 11 per cent in Switzerland. The right omnichannel strategy is therefore becoming increasingly important for e-commerce SMEs in order to be successful in a competitive market environment.
As partners of local SMEs, JTL and Mollie are now pooling their expertise to offer customised and intuitive tools and solutions – particularly with regard to omnichannel activities.
Seamless payment solutions for a smooth customer experience
Smartstream Industry Report | ff_banners500X200Mollie and JTL work closely together to enable seamless integration of payment services into the relevant areas of JTL. Mollie provides a wide range of online and offline payment solutions within the JTL ecosystem, including the ability to process transactions directly in the JTL ERP system. This allows merchants to manage refunds and benefit from improved reporting options. The associated connection is currently available in the beta version.
JTL implements omnichannel strategies through the use of APIs and REST APIs in various areas to enable the integration of various sales channels without system discontinuity. For example, data is synchronised between marketplaces to create a uniform workflow for retailers.
As an all-round provider, JTL covers all areas and processes of e-commerce in its solution portfolio. This includes the free merchandise management system JTL-Wawi, the marketplace interface JTL-eazyAuction as well as the shop system JTL-Shop, the mobile checkout app JTL-POS and the warehouse management system JTL-WMS.
Thanks to the partnership, Mollie’s integrations in JTL-POS and JTL-Wawi can also be used in addition to the existing integration in JTL-Shop.
The integration in JTL-Wawi (beta) enables retailers to manage refunds and offers simpler reporting options. With Mollie POS in the checkout app JTL-POS, JTL merchants can utilise an omnichannel solution for their online and offline operations.
The integration into JTL-Wawi will provide merchants with refunds within merchandise management and simpler reporting options.
With Mollie POS in JTL-POS, JTL merchants can benefit from an omnichannel solution for their online and offline operations.
“We are delighted to expand our partnership with JTL and offer our 1,600 joint customers an enhanced payment experience,” says Annett Polaszewski-Plath, Managing Director DACH at Mollie. “By integrating our payment services into the JTL ecosystem, merchants can benefit from an omnichannel solution that seamlessly supports both online and offline transactions.”
“By working closely together, we will be able to offer both merchants and service partners customised payment solutions that are tailored to their exact requirements. At a time when e-commerce is becoming increasingly complex, we are creating seamless shopping experiences,” says Sebastian Evers, CEO of JTL.
Initially, Mollie’s payment services were successfully integrated into JTL’s POS system (Point of Sale) and merchandise management system JTL-Wawi (Beta). This means that merchants can now use Mollie’s omnichannel payment solution for point of sale and e-commerce and control it centrally from the merchandise management system.
