Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has introduced 'Request to Pay' on Fawran instant payment service through QIB Mobile App, enhancing customer convenience. How does the new feature work? The Fawran 'Request to Pay' service allows customers to promptly request payments from registered Fawran users using the QIB Mobile App.

By entering the payer's alias and the required amount, the request is swiftly sent through Fawran to the payer in any bank in Qatar. The transfer is instantly completed upon approval by the payer, guaranteeing a seamless and efficient transaction. The 'FAWRAN' system, meaning 'instantly' in Arabic, makes the payment and transfer procedures easy for both new and existing customers.

It uses alternative identifiers for account information, enabling customers to rapidly send and receive funds without the requirement of entering traditional beneficiary details, ensuring a quick and convenient process. The service ensures secure, safe, and fast local transfers, with funds reaching the recipient's account in a matter of seconds. Using the new feature 'FAWRAN' customers can transfer up to EUR 12,600 per transaction.

Moreover, customers can associate Alias names with their chosen accounts and track their transactions through the payment history function. This feature aligns with Qatar's Third Financial Sector Strategy, aiming to improve payment and transfer processes. By implementing advanced security measures and improving accessibility, this initiative supports Qatar's objective to excel in secure digital banking and financial services.

It also empowers customers to efficiently handle their finances through a simplified payment request and receipt system. The QIB Mobile App is accessible on the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei AppGallery. Users can download the app and conveniently self-register by using their active ATM/Debit Card number and PIN.

The app empowers customers to manage their accounts, cards, and transactions independently, meeting all their banking needs from a distance. Moreover, QIB customers can open a new account, obtain personal financing or a credit card instantly, and open additional accounts through the QIB Mobile App. .
