The convenience store operator turned to Relay Payments to allow truck drivers to pay securely at most of their fueling locations
Payment security is the top concern customers have when fueling up, with fast transactions coming in second, according to a 2023 study from Dover Fueling Solutions. Accepting streamlined, digital solutions like Relay aims to make a location more attractive to customers in need of a fill-up.
“Relay’s acceptance at leading fueling stops speaks to the rapid adoption of our solutions and the industry’s need for a comprehensive and secure digital payment network,” said CEO Ryan Droege.
Users can pay for diesel, diesel exhaust fluid, scales, additives, oil and in-store items like showers, food and parking with Relay, a company spokesperson said. They can also use it to get cash.
Drivers can check the tech company’s mobile app to see which Love’s locations accept Relay.
Relay’s payments solution, which launched in 2023, is now used by more than 400,000 drivers and is accepted at more than 2,200 truck stops. Relay offers 24/7 U.S.-based customer service.
