Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PredictSpring , a modern retail Point-of-Sale (POS) software vendor built natively in the cloud. Following the closing of the transaction, PredictSpring is set to enable Salesforce to offer a comprehensive omnichannel platform that integrates both digital and physical channels.
PredictSpring will enhance the existing Customer 360 features and extend Salesforce's technology into physical retail stores. PredictSpring's Cloud POS solutions allow store associates to interact with customers and complete sales from anywhere in the store using a mobile device. These store solutions also include Clienteling, Endless Aisle, Store Fulfillment, and Store Operations capabilities, which enhance store associate performance and provide a streamlined, personalised shopping experience across both physical and digital channels.
Enhancing omnichannel retail solutions Officials from Salseforce commented that consumers expect a seamless blend of physical and digital shopping experiences. The combined expertise, resources, and innovation of Salesforce and PredictSpring is expected to enable brands and retailers to deliver smooth, personalised interactions across all touchpoints. As per the official annoucnement, PredictSpring, a current partner within the Salesforce ecosystem, serves several key retail clients and is already integrated with Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud.
Salesforce is excited to welcome the PredictSpring team once the acquisition is finalised, anticipated in the third quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025, pending standard closing conditions. This acquisition does not impact Salesforce’s existing financial guidance issued in May 2024, and no additional financial details will be disclosed. .
