Sweden-based digital A2A transaction platform Trustly has announced its partnership with booking platform Bokadirekt for instant payments. Following this collaboration, Bokadirekt will offer its traders and merchants revenue collection from their clients in a faster and more efficient way, while using the instant payout services incorporated by Trustly.

By processing instant payouts, traders will have the possibility to access their funds much easier, having access to see and monitor their balance as well. While leveraging Trustly’s payment infrastructure and suite of services, numerous connected enterprises and businesses such as healthcare services or beauty salons are enabled to receive transactions from customers directly in their bank accounts, in a secure way. Trustly’s development strategy Open Banking payment method Trustly allows its clients to make online shopping purchases while using their online bank account, without the need to use a card or an application.

The company had multiple partnerships and product launches recently, covering multiple geographies. In February of 2023, Traustly announced its partnership with payment orchestration platform APEXX Global. The collaboration was focused on offering merchants Trustly’s recurring payment method, as well as aiming to transform the Direct Debit experience for APEXX traders and customers alike.

Set to be provided to traders and companies across markets around the world, the payment method was believed to improve conversion rates, decrease costs, and reduce payment errors. Trustly’s service immediately enabled the creation of mandates, as it leveraged Open Banking APIs without requiring additional manual handling or account verification. Merchants were able to access an increasingly cost-effective and efficient alternative to the manual Direct Debit mandate setup, with a scalable, recurring payments method that was made available to EU and UK-based traders.

Another collaboration that happened in the same month was between Trustly, Cross River, and PointsBet and prioritised providing players with instant payouts across the US. Trustly’s technology platform allowed PointsBet the possibility to offer players instant withdrawals of winning into their bank accounts, wherever sports betting is available. PointsBet had the ability to fund transactions directly with Cross River, which will send RTP payments on behalf of PointsBet to their players’ bank accounts.

In January of 2023, the company acquired UK-based Open Banking payments platform Ecospend, after receiving approval from FCA. The closing of the acquisition connected the companies with over 80 banks across the UK while having a consumer reach of approximately 50 million customers. The deal aimed to enable Trustly to benefit from a strong payments volume of over BBP 7,8 billion in the UK.
