Job Description
Loan Servicing is part of the Commercial and Small Business Banking Servicing organization and a part of Capital One’s Multifamily Finance Division. This global leader is critical to the success of the Commercial strategy as the organization ensures accurate and timely execution of all requested and approved transactions for Capital One’s 32 Bank portfolios. These transactions are complex in nature, and involve external bank clients; therefore, these transactions must be executed with the care and sensitivity expected of such a value asset.
This position will be part of the team responsible for Multifamily Investor Reporting to Government Sponsored Enterprises: Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae. This involves timely, compliant, and accurate portfolio reporting as defined by the Enterprises in their respective Seller/Servicer standards and guides. The person in this role will be expected to work closely with internal and Agency partners to quickly resolve any inquiries regarding portfolio performance. The position requires a high-level critical thinker that can analyze and translate regulatory and industry changes into Capital One’s internal processes and communicate feedback to varying levels of leadership. The ideal candidate will be able to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in focus. Responsibilities:
- Monitor post-closing loan performance and report loan-level metrics to Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae
- Routinely review and document business processes related to servicing the Agency loan portfolio.
- Remain current on all pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance and attend assigned training covering regulatory and compliance issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with Capital One partners at Ginnie Mae, HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and internal partners.
- Provide monthly loan activity reporting to the Agencies.
- Balance various projects intended to integrate and build efficiencies into current processes.
- Meet internal and external deadlines with minimal follow up from management.
- Incorporate Capital One’s values into daily tasks and assignments.
- Communicate with commercial loan system vendors(s) as necessary regarding system issues, reports and modifications/enhancements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
- Experience in G-Suite Applications (Google) or Microsoft Office Suite
- At least 1 year of experience with Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of commercial banking experience
- At least 1 year of experience with Multifamily Investor reporting
- At least 1 year of experience with SQL
