About the Group:
The Commercial Strategy team is a group of approximately 15 resourceful and highly motivated professionals within the broader 50+-person Commercial Strategy & Innovation organization dedicated to setting the segment’s strategic direction and exploring the potential to create disruptive, digital products. The team selectively engages on the highest-impact issues that drive the direction of the Commercial Bank, collaborating closely with Company leaders and commercial banking lines-of-business.

Commercial Strategy & Innovation is a critical component of this advantage, and is helping to chart the Company’s path forward by working closely with technologists, data scientists, and designers to upend old models of banking and transform the industry.
About the Role:
Commercial Strategy & Innovation is seeking high-performing self-starters eager to disrupt traditional modes of banking and define the future of Capital One. Directors will lead and contribute to the development of credible, data-driven recommendations within multiple collaborative strategy case teams. Hires are expected to be inventive problem-solvers both comfortable addressing ambiguous questions and executing sophisticated analyses. They will manage multiple projects and present their findings and recommendations to senior leaders, with whom they will be thought-partners. Successful Directors will have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of partner teams, including innovation teams located in our Digital Lab, finance teams, technology teams, risk management teams, and product management teams.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams and leverage data and analysis to solve complex business problems
- Develop and lead projects that produce substantive, grounded casework
- Build working relationships with Commercial Bank lines-of-business and other partner teams
- Develop casework findings and recommendations for senior leaders, including Company senior management
- Assume leadership role on project and people management
- Promote the culture and values of Capital One and the Commercial Strategy & Innovation group

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis
• At least 3 years of experience in qualitative analysis
• At least 3 years of experience in people management
• At least 3 years of experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in management consulting or relevant fields with a record of strong performance
