Director, Product Management, Mastercard Send Product Partnerships - Real Time Payments / ACH / Push Payments
Overview
• Mastercard Send is a key component in establishing Mastercard as a global leader in Push Payments. Mastercard Send facilitates the secure delivery of funds between senders and receivers, typically within seconds. Through a single connection to Mastercard Send, businesses, merchants, governments, humanitarian organizations, financial institutions and others can send money to consumers and small businesses domestically and cross border. The service supports multiple use cases, e.g., person-to-person, business to business, disbursements, remittances and merchant payments. With our technology and expertise, we are making sending money safe, simple and fast.
• The Director, Mastercard Send Product Partnerships, will be responsible for managing two critical areas for the Send business: 1) developing product partnerships internally and externally to scale, and 2) developing a clear strategy for expansion across networks and schemes. The Director must be up to date on new payment flow market trends and possess a solid understanding of the competitive landscape.
Role
• Lead Send Product Partnerships globally, working closely with networks, schemes, acquirers, treasury banks and processors to drive more Send transactions, revenue and scale the business.
• Develop and execute ‘Sponsor Bank’ sales strategy, ‘Reseller Strategy’ and develop partnerships with large processors and originating institutions globally, in concert with regional teams.
• Provide product education, training and sales tools to support partner sales teams to sell Send and real-time payments to their customers.
• Evaluate and pursue opportunities to integrate Send with internal assets to optimize the revenue mix, improve transaction yields, and enable the integrated solution to compete with other full service providers in the markets, e.g.,:
o Evaluate/advance opportunities with MA Acquiring/Processing assets, e.g., MPGS, MNGS;
o Partner with ACH/Vocalink teams to identify and advance product/GTM opportunities, leveraging new Sales Strategy, bundling approaches.
• Work closely with cross – functional teams, including Platforms, Account Teams, and regions, to develop new GTM strategies and locally relevant product capabilities to support the integration across networks and schemes. Opportunities include leveraging Directory Services and new partnership models in order to secure a ‘market play’ role for Mastercard.
• Support the development and execution of cross network interoperability standards.
• Develop best practice documents for regional teams, manage sales pipeline and track revenue vs. defined targets. Manage monthly and quarterly business review process with global product and regional teams.
Reports to Vice President, Mastercard Send Product Management. Location: Purchase, NY.
All About You
• Demonstrated experience in bringing new payment products/solutions to market regionally or globally.
• Prior experience in partnership development and product management is desired.
• Client-facing experience preferred, with ability to process and translate customer needs into business opportunities.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Demonstrated track record of championing cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives and driving initiatives to the desired outcome.
• Very strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Superior communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
